This listing is for a one of a kind custom hand made piece of functional metal art. This Shipwreck Oregon Themed Chef knife or Cleaver will be made to order by Dan Berg. It is 11 1/2" long and 1 13/4" wide. The razor sharp blade is made from AEBL stainless steel. The blade is beautifully hand etched with a two tone design depicting the sinking of the Oregon back in 1886. The Knife shown has buttons and beads cast in clear resin and then crafted into handles. These artifacts were supplied by our customer. Knives being sold in this listing will have handles made from wood recovered from the shipwreck which has been stabilized and then cast in resin. Materials for these handles is very limited, each will be a unique piece.
AEBL is one of the new super stainless steels. It's the same material they make razor blades from. AEBL holds a great edge. This is one of the most unique and beautiful knife designs we have ever made. Sure to become a family Heirloom.
